A pair of E.M.D. B12 diesel-electric locomotives, each one with 1125 HP. Streamlined diesel- electric locomotives like these ones were rare in Brazil; other examples were the ALCOs FA1 and PA2, of the E.F. Central do Brasil and Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro, respectively. The E.F. Vitória-Minas B12 locomotives were later sold to the Viação Férrea do Rio Grande do Sul. Photo taken in 1953, at the London Ontário plants of E.M.D. in Canada, originally available at the Brazil Page at the Electromotive Division.
