A tramway at Cabras, terminus of the Ramal Férreo Campineiro after 32 kilometers of line. Tramway #2, shown here, is said to be second hand, formerly of the Belo Horizonte system. Note the E.F.S. logo in front of the car and the feeding cable connecting the catenary with the rectifier station inside the station building. At left one can see some overhead wires, that apparently were used in a switching yards, already scrapped when this picture was taken. This is an extremely rare color photo of this tramway line, shot in 1958 by W.C. Janssen; a black-and-white copy was originally published in the book The Tramways of Brazil, by Allen Morrison, from New York, U.S.A.
