The very stringent track maintenance standards of the good and old C.P. required the building of several small villages along the railroad lines for maintenance personnel. Each crew living in a given village was responsible for a specific line segment. Unfortunately these crews were dismissed after the merging of Companhia Paulista into FEPASA. This picture, shot in Pederneiras in 1993, already in the barbarian FEPASA times, shows one house of the Turma 41 (Crew 41). Photo shot by Édson Salvador Castro, from Jaú SP, who kindly sent this photo specially for the E.F. Brasil site.
