A 3,000 HP English Electric locomotive after general revamping. Photo shot during the early sixties; apparently the loco just received the R.F.F.S.A. livery - in reality, this livery was originaly designed specifically for E.F. Santos a Jundiaí and then adopted by R.F.F.S.A. for its locomotives all over Brazil. This machine still shows several original details: the horn located above windshields, side bumpers and stainless steel pantograph plates. The gentleman that appears in the cabin window is Mr. Waldemar Garcia, electrotechnician of the E.F. Santos a Jundiaí, an expert about this locomotive, as he belonged to the original crew that was trained when these locomotives were delivered to Brazil, in 1949-1950. Photo kindly sent by Maurício Torres, from Miami, U.S.A.

A faithful HO model version of this loco can be got at César Sacco Car & Locomotive Works.
