A very rare color photo of two Alco RS-1 locomotives with the R.F.F.S.A. livery at the Paranapiacaba station. Note the steel plate barriers in the tracks at the left of the RS-1 locomotives: they were used in order to assure that the rolling stock that would run through the funicular system would had the correct clearance. Photo shot by Alberto Henrique del Bianco, from Pirassununga SP. He kindly sent a copy to the E.F. Brasil site. It is interesting to note that this livery was originally designed for use at the E.F. Santos a Jundiaí during the late fifties, but it was adopted by the newly-created Rede Ferroviária Federal S.A. (R.F.F.S.A.) to be used by all railroads that constituted its network nationalwide.
