This ad, published in the January/February 1973 issue of Revista Ferrovia, tells about the 80 U23C diesel-electric locomotives that were being built at the Brazilian branch of General Electric at that time. They were purchased by R.F.F.S.A. to work at the Linha do Centro (The Centre Line) in Minas Gerais, famous for its heavy iron ore trains. The title of this ad is, "80 G.E. locomotives will shorten the way between the Brazilian mines and the rest of the world".
