This 64 ton G.E. Cooper-Bessemer diesel-electric switching locomotive, #3110, was an adaptation for the 1.00 m gauge of the 70 ton locomotive normally supplied to American railroads, which have 1.435 m gauge. It has a 6-cylinder Cooper-Bessemer diesel motor and C.C. electrical transmission. All axles of this locomotive were motorized, minimizing the traction effort. A total of 62 units was supplied to Brazil, being 42 for the E.F. Sorocabana, 12 for the Companhia Mogiana and 8 to the Rede de Viação Paraná-Santa Catarina. The units of E.F. Sorocabana were built during 1947, being incorporated in 1948 and numbered from #3101 to #3142. In 1956 E.F. Sorocabana swapped ten locomotives of this kind by five 1,600 HP Baldwin AS-616E formerly incorporated to the Rede de Viação Paraná-Santa Catarina. The same kind of locomotive can be seen with other liveries, like the first, second and a special FEPASA livery. The #3110 locomotive was put out of service in 1985.
