This is a exemplar of the first series of trains supplied to the São Paulo subway, built in Brazil by Mafersa, a Budd licensee, during the early seventies. It was used since then in the North-South line. This photo shows the Jabaquara switching yards, in 1974, during one of the first training sessions for operational personnel. The installations of this terminal station were not fully operational at that time. Cid José Beraldo, from São Paulo SP, shot this photo and kindly sent one copy and info to these pages.
