This is an almost unknown car of the E.F. Noroeste do Brasil, which unusually have its box made in aluminum. Surprisingly, cars of this kind were built in Brazil by Santa Matilde in 1952; a total of twelve cars were supplied, including first class (five units), second class (five units) and restaurant (two units). This photo was shot by Alberto Henrique del Bianco in August 1979; he kindly sent a copy to the E.F. Brasil, an electronic list for discussion about the Brazilian railroads. Identification and info about such cars is courtesy of Helder Cleber de Barros Ribas.
