PV&T #6 in the paint scheme it wore in the latter half of its career

In 1905, the PV&T ordered a bunch of small prairies to handle wayfreights & less trafficked branchlines. The class 6 locomotives were very successful locomotives, but increasing traffic volumes and the march of electrification slowly pushed them off the system, with the last units being retired in 1947.

A few of these locomotives were resold to short lines, but the bulk of them were stripped for parts and scrapped. None survive today.
