When the CSS&SB merged with the Adrian & Blissfield, the (ADBF subsidiry) Lapeer Industrial Railroad came along with the deal. The LIRR was down to one customer on its industrial branch (a condemned bridge had cut off two other customers who then switched to trucks) but the CSS&SB rebuilt that bridge anyway, then approached those customers and coaxed them back to using the railroad for freight.
The LIRR services all of these industries with an elderly GE 65t switcher, bringing in an ADBF GP9d when it’s being maintained.
